Dr. Joshua Lushington is a General and Diagnostic Cardiologist with specialised expertise in multi-modality cardiac imaging. He completed his medical degree at the University of Adelaide, graduating as dux of his year and receiving the prestigious University Medal for outstanding academic achievement.

Dr. Lushington undertook his physician and cardiology training at the Queen Elizabeth and Royal Adelaide Hospital’s, followed by advanced fellowship training in the United Kingdom at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and University College London Hospital. His subspecialty training focused on advanced cardiac imaging, exercise stress testing, and the management of patients with cardiac complications related to cancer and its treatment, including autonomic dysfunction in cardiac amyloidosis.

Actively involved in international working groups in both cardio-oncology and cardiac amyloidosis, Dr. Lushington is passionate about expanding access to these services throughout South Australia. He has a particular interest in the diagnostic evaluation of symptoms, applying a thorough yet pragmatic approach to investigation and management. Dr. Lushington welcomes all general cardiology referrals and is available for urgent assessments when required.
